Obama vs. Arizona’s Immigration Law! Round 1!
Ding! Ding! Round 1 let’s get it started Obama vs Arizona’s Immigration Law! Obama has told the world about the way he feels on the new immigration law that’s been passed in Arizona. The administration are open to many options even a court challenge according to Attorney General Eric Holder. Seeking a lawsuit Pres. Obama is now consulting with his Justice Department and his legal team to see what they can come up with. If you been locked up in a hole this past week, the new Arizona immigration law requires migrants to carry documentation proving that they are citizens of the United States. This new law also gives law enforcement all the rights to stop and check and see if migrants have their papers and to find out if they are here illegally or not. This law is to help combat an illegal immigration problem that AZ has been having. How do you feel about this law is this racial profiling or not?

You have it all wrong. The law does not give the police the right to stop you to verify that you are here legally. They must have stopped you for some other primary violation, i.e speeding and then they can ask for identification. I don’t see the problem. Everytime I’ve been stopped I’ve been asked for i.d. Obama is barking up the wrong tree. The Arizona law nearly mirrors the federal law on immigration so the argument that it is unconstitutional is completely without grounds. He’s just pandering for the latino vote.
If a police have suspicion for whatever reason he can and he probably will stop a migrant and ask for papers. It doesn’t have to always be a traffic violation or running a red light or a murder or something. They are being proactive with this law. Watch and see primary violations for Latinos will sky rocket in the coming months do to this racist law! Obama will take this law down soon nobody should be subjected to carry their papers around just because of what they look like. Some of them have been citizens here before you,I, and some of those officers now they have to carry papers just in case some cop is suspicious of them which he will be or God Bless them for going over the speed limit. No one will ever understand until they are put in those people shoes.

Frankly, you all are missing the real issue. Being a woman of color I have experienced racial injustice and racial discrimination my entire life. Enough to know that racial profiling is NEVER EVER okay! And now they think that they can just slip it into law?!?!? This is not about us supporting immigrants being illegal or supporting illegals crossing the border without the appropriate paperwork. Its about the millions of Mexican Americans who are citizens. Born and raised here just like you, who will now legally be profiled, apprehended, harassed, discriminated against, and automatically assumed to be illegal. That is not right and that is not civil! So thank you Rev. Al Sharpton for inflamming the true issue when so many others are blind, because if this law goes into effect, honestly, WHO IS NEXT?
That’s the problem with white politicians. They think that if a law protect the rights of white Americans than it protects the rights of all Americans and that is not the case! As for President Obama I feel that by him not intervening he is condoning. President Obama we voted for you because you represented CHANGE so please don’t be afraid to do just that!

Have you read the law? I am guessing not. It states you cannot racially profile more than twice in the bill. The government did not sue for any reasons based on racial discrimination, so obvioucly they knew that would not hold up in court. This battle is not over. Our tax dollars have been going to the education, welfare, incarceration and hospital visits of illegals for too long!!!
Yes I have read the law for the 15th time. It doesn’t matter if it says you can’t racially profile it happens right? Please tell me you know this happen? Where do you live Utopia? Just because cops are human beings and a few may profile, it does not logically follow that the law should not be enforced at all. If you follow that logic, no law should be enforced. If they are looking for a rapist, they will only ask men and that is profiling. I guess they should stop speeding laws because they may pull over more blacks for speeding. That makes no sense. I am against having programs cut for say, special needs American citizen children and gaining ESL classes for illegals. That is not fair. My friend from Beverly Hills (expensive as hell) her parents would not send her to the public school bc it is terrible and they pay tremendous taxes, is that fair?

Yes, illegals are humans and deserved to be treated as such, but they do not deserve to be US citizens. They broke our laws and must leave and return lawfully. If illegal blacks were here I would gladly show my American citizenship, by showing ID. There are stats about people being pulled over also simply linked to socio-econmic status and not race. For instance people may have expired tags and things of that nature. The nicer car you have the less likely you are to get pulled over etc, so while blacks get pulled over more, it is not all about race.

Ummm… not true. Jan 1st the ‘special needs kids tax’ will go into effect under Obama. It is a cap for certain funds for kids with special needs. The fact that Obama is allowing the illegals to stay here as if they are citizens is over burderning our schools and making it more difficult to keep these special needs programs alive.

No, I notice when I had my purple Ford Explorer with one door a different color, I got pulled over much more. My car was dirty and unkempt looking. I also would not have the money to get new tags and they would expire etc. If I put a white person in my car, he/she would probably get pulled over just as much as I did. All of those things had to do with the fact that I did not have the money for a new car and/or to fix my car and I did not have money to register my car, I had to pay off parking tickets first. Now that I have a new car, a black Lexus IS250, I have not gotten pulled over once and I have had it for a year. I would get pulled over in my other car like once every couple of months. There are links between socio-economic status and getting pulled over.

That is a link to some tax increases. You can just google ‘2011 tax increase’. It is not a Fox news thing, it is reality. Welcome to it. These are the Bush tax cuts that are expiring. I don’t even think it has the death tax in there, which is currently 0%, but now will be over 50% if you inherit over 1 million. So if my grandparents worked their whole lives to leave my parents a 500k home and some stock, they have to give half of their parents hard earned $ to the government. That is just wrong.

The taliban is a very dangerous group and the people of Afganistan and Iraq do not want these people to have control of the nation. In their mind women are like animals, they are nothing. If we leave now, they will have power and it is estimated they will have a nuclear weapon within 5 years if we leave. Do you want that? Terrorists are people who want to attack a nation without an organized army. That is what the taliban wants. Did you forget 9/11 when people were dancing in the street after they killed 3,000 American civilians.
It is a tough war because it isn’t just one nation we are fighting, we are fighting an ideology. I am not saying it is easy and clean, but what are we supposed to do? Leave and wait for them to drop a nuclear bomb on us in 5 years? You have to realize that 100% of the terrorist attacks on us, our planes, embacies overseas, cruise ships. All Muslim terrorists. After 9/11, we had the underwear bomber, the shoe bomber, the car bomber in Time Square, the soldier at I think Fort Hood. We have to do something.

I do love listening to Rush, you should try it sometime before you diss him. He is entertaining and informative. He predicts this perfectly. He said the oil spill was not going to be a disaster like they were saying, he stated before the AZ lawsuit exactly how Obama would respond to SB1070. He predicts what is going to happen and 95% of the time, it does.

You are obsessed with race. Did you know the Abraham Lincoln was a republican and most of the northerners who fought for black freedom? Did you know that republicans tried to pass a civil rights act 85 years before the 1965 one that actually came into play? You are not educated on the history of this nation and the history of the parties. KKK is all democrats. They party does not stand for anything. MLK spoke for blacks on civil rights which 100% of blacks supported.
