Now Arizona’s Gov. Jan Brewer wants to take away schools ethnic studies
The same lady who signed Arizona’s controversial immigration law is now trying to get rid of your schools ethnic studies in Arizona. Tuesday Gov. Jan Brewer signed a bill that will prohibit classes that advocate ethnic solidarity, that are designed primarily for students of a particular race or that promote resentment toward a certain ethnic group. It also prohibits classes that promote the overthrow of the U.S. government. Tom Horne has been fighting for this bill for a while now he said some of these programs promote “ethnic chauvinism” and racial resentment toward whites while segregating students by race. This bill is full of crap but one thing we can be assured of is that Gov. Jan Brewer won’t be reelected. I wonder will they take the same approach in elementary schools thru high school when all you learn about is white people who did things for the country. This promotes ethnic solidarity right?! The only thing ethnic studies does is shows how all Americans help build this great country whether your asian, black, or Mexican and not just whites. One thing you cannot do is change the past if blacks were enslaved by whites you can’t change that or suppress it. In the wise words of some Republicans you have to call a “spade a spade”.
